e-mail him at jv2fucile@aol.com or mail cards, but he would prefer not to
have visitors right now. Hope you're
feeling better soon, Jim!! JOE DIAZ passed around pictures of the
completed water cistern project at the Loreto boarding school. Nice work Joe! |

PROGRAM: Technology Teacher Teri Tsosie brought Hermosa Valley 7th and 8th graders Emily, Matt, Max, Spenser, Sara, Andy and Peter to demonstrate the two hover crafts built at the school. We were treated to rides around the parking lot both at the beginning and end of the meeting. Several Kiwanians took advantage of the opportunity. They also brought their computer and video presentations showing how they constructed the hovercrafts, what the pieces and stages were, and who the workers were. This is a project that HB Kiwanis has supported from its inception three years ago and each year the vehicles are improved. This year they didn't have to plug them into the wall for power, but generated their own gas or electric power. They are still working on designing and building brakes for next year's version. It was a very impressive presentation! These kids are definitely having fun and learning at the same time. |
