PROGRAM: Lance Widman - South Bay Center for Dispute Resolution.  Lance is a former HB city councilman, mayor and current School Board Member.  He also runs the South Bay Center for Dispute Resolution.  He began volunteering thru the LA Co Bar Assn Alternative Dispute Resolution group, then started his own non-profit mediation group about 2-1/2 years ago.  The mediators are generally not attorneys and are volunteers.  If you are referred by a contracting city, there is no cost, or otherwise very low cost.  They mediate disputes concerning neighbors, Landlord/tenant, business/consumer, domestic, homeowner associations, workplace.  These mediations are confidential, convenient, and generally successful.  This is a great alternative to litigation.
