STARTERS: The Women's Choir led the patriotic song, Tony led the pledge and Merle prayed. BIRTHDAYS: Alicia Costa (12/1), Ian Whitelaw (12/5), Paul Amarillas (12/13, Yvonne Amarillas (12/15) and Greg Wyatt (12/18). We even got Paul on the cell phone and we sang for everyone. DRINK DISPENSER/FINK: Whit caught Jerry, Vera and Greg Ronkainen. Fink Vera nabbed just about everyone. Pretty sneaky, Vera, coming in late and getting us all. I guess it's payback for getting fined for being late all the time. Ha ha. GUESTS: Prez Tony introduced guest Deborah Cramer who was checking us out cuz her sister is a Kiwanian in Monrovia. She found us on the internet (nice work webmaster Howiee). BANNER PATCH: Prez Tony announced we received banner patches for our participation in Total K Day. DCM RECOGNITION: Tony re-presented the plaque presented to Joe Diaz for his WWII participation. WWII Vets were honored at the last DCM. Unfortunately Dr. Barr and our other vets weren't up to attending the event -- but we thank you all!!!! BUILDERS CLUB: Bought over $1,200 worth of toys for the Beach Cities Toy Drive. |
