FOR STARTERS: Via video, 10-year-old Brittany Perry started the meeting with an incredible rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, Terry led the pledge and Merle prayed. Guests today were Cari Parish, Director of the Hermosa Valley School Talent Show video and Builders Club members Tyler Palmer, Michael Montero and Casey McHargue. |
ELECTIONS: After scintillating campaign speeches from Board candidates, the results for next term: Immed. Past Pres. - Sam Abrams; President - Tony Lombardo; President Elect - Rick Koenig; Vice President - Greg Wyatt; Treasurer - Jean Lombardo; Board Members - Bruce Bogart, Bob McEachen and Howard Seeb; Secretary - Earl Feys (election committee chairman from Florida) to be appointed??? |

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Thanks to members who helped out Riviera Village Kiwanis at the Riviera Art Festival last weekend. Thank you from Liberty Rivera, president. Also thank you notes from Ed Foundation and Exceptional Kids PTO for our donations. |
COMMITTEES: Rick K looking for new Community Service Chairman - its a great job and fun way to participate in the community. Tony says he will be training Les Thompson to take over Youth Services Committee. Earl told about Major Emphasis Committee. Cathy reported on Scholarship Committee giving nearly $30,000 in scholarships |

SAD NEWS: Jim Fucile is at Little Company of
Mary for tests/treatment. GET WELL,
JIM. Lots of sad dollars contributed for Jim. HAPPIER NOTES: Cari Parish (guest of Rick K) presented club with copy of video of Hermosa Valley School Talent Show and certificates of appreciation to our Club, Rick K, Greg W and Dick McC for contributions to making the video. We saw 1st few minutes and it looks great!! Rick K also presented framed photo from our 75th Anniversary party which was taken by Chris Miller. Names of all attending was attached. Cathy & Dick McC walked pier to pier last weekend and raised $1250 for Richstone Center. |
HAPPY/SADS: Many were sad for Jim being sick; Dano in awe of all we do; Whit sad to sell motor home, happy to be 79; Cathy happy Shea's band, Playground Warfare, played at the Roxy in Hollywood; Terry sad re Whit's mistress (the motor home) and not having hearing aids for the McC's, Dick happy re band and club support for LtG, Greg W glad to be back, Dallas happy re shirts are here, Dianne glad to be back (borrowed $ from Tony), Jean happy folks are back, Sam happy to have Builders Club here; Carol happy re great talent show video. Dick says Tracy Toiya is a member of Santa Monica Kiwanis and sad not to be here. RAFFLE: Carol had the winning ticket but drew the 2 of clubs. NEXT WEEK'S FINK: 192626 |
