STARTERS:  The men’s choir started  the patriotic song and was interrupted by the arrival in a stretched limousine of the crowd from Loreto. The song was completed eventually. The builders club led the pledge and Joshua did the invocation.

BIRTHDAYS: We celebrated Jim Fucile’s birthday a week early.

DRINK DISPENSER/FINK: Witt got all the Loreto late comers and Dr Barr was assigned to be the fink but let everyone off the hook.

GUESTS: Jim’s wife Nell and Joe D’s wife Marie were guests as well as Larry Madick, our Lt. Gov. Builders Club

JIM FUCILE –Received a warm welcome back.

·         11/1  HVMS - 4th grade beach cleanup

·         11/7 NEXT BOARD MEETING:  Caterers will be Rick K, Greg W, Jan E, Christine H.

·         11/8 Chamber of Commerce - Man/Woman of the Year Luncheon - at EinSteins - Call Chamber for tickets.

CHAMBER MAN AND WOMAN OF THE YEAR:

Plan on attending the lunch because the honorees are none other than our very own RICK HANKUS for Man of the Year and City Council Member Kathy Dunbabin for Woman of the Year.  Congratulations RICK!!!!!!

 

                                                             

Joshua Sneed Made a request for cans of food to be given out by the Salvation Army at Thanksgiving. (bring to club)

Don Tony Lombardo using his twinkle bell warned Da Mob holding his bell, but made no effort to ransom it back.

Larry Madick , Div 19 Lt. Gov, made a presentation describing his vision of the future for Division 19 of the Kiwanis Club. Some highlights include Service, Membership, and Training of Members. Div 19 will have a web site, service projects and Care Bears. He also plans several parties. He sold us Kiwanis Decals for our cars.

SPEAKERS: League of Women Voters made a presentation discussing  this years propositions. Focused on Prop  J and 46 thru 52. As usual they tried to discuss the pros and cons with out taking sides. Be an informed voter.

                                          

 

Bob M reported that you can absentee vote at Redondo Beach Library via computer. (No Chads)

RAFFLE:  Jim Fucile won the Lottery and Dr Barr took the money for him. $39, pot now $291
