SPEAKER: Soon to become new member Richard Gomez spoke today about his Toys for Joy organization.  It is a non-profit which has distributed around 500,000 toys nationwide to needy children in hospitals, abused children facilities, and disaster areas (including NY and Wash DC families of victims of 9/11).  They also team up with various law enforcement agencies (including CHIPS for Kids/Channel 9 and others) to distribute the toys using convoys of motorcycles.  They even take a motorcycle into the hospital children's wards.

Richard and Toys for Joy have donated 500 toys to HB Kiwanis -- 250 to be taken to Loreto children and 250 to be distributed locally.  If you know of appropriate recipients, see Joe.
