Announcements:

·         Dallas indicated there is a need for election day helpers on 5 Nov 7AM to 7PM for $55 salary

·         Christine announced her successful completion of her triathalon (1 mi swim, 24 mile bike, 10K run). Thanked us for our support.

·         Cathy reminded us of  the 27 Sept lunch regarding Prop J, School Bond

Presentation: Sam presented to Eileen Detteman a $500 award plus 2 plaques for the Redondo Beach Unified School District as the result of her being chosen as “Teacher of the Year.” In attendance with Eileen were Bill Numan, Superintendent and Mary Wallace, Principal.

SPEAKER: Toni Antonelli spoke to us about Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Pediatric Trauma Prevention Program. That’s the can we pass every meeting. Space is too short to describe all the activities and areas “We” are involved in. Go to:

Happy Sads: H Larry glad to be back, S bathroom floor in house broken, he is staying at the Sea Sprite; S Howieee fell off bike twice, H Sam suggested training wheels; H Christine about ??; H Cathy about Christine, H cleanup, H support education; H Dallas teacher of the year award, H wife on vacation, S wasn’t fed first; H Terry having teachers in her family, H Lombardo presidency, H for today’s program; S $5 Len spun wheel for cell phone violation; S Bob M Judi working again, H amazed that cleanup photos say Taipei; S Witt not all guests coming to visit him; H Sam builders club visit,H guests, H teacher of the year.
