of the
Since 1975, the South Bay Youth
Project of 11 cities supports
credentialed professionals who help families with
children who are “acting out”. Schools,
courts, or self-referrals refer
clients. Over 400 Hermosa families have
been helped and over 1000 families in
have been helped.
Beside extensive counseling, SBYP
hosts a tri-city dance one Friday per month
that is safe and drug/alcohol free, 14 drug/alcohol testing sites, 12- Step program for youth, Kids 1st
–for divorcing parents, youth leadership programs,
couples counseling, parenting classes, and late night sports – basketball for youth up to 25 played
at night to keep them off the street and
out of trouble.
Fundraiser scheduled for Friday, May
30, 2008, 7 p.m. at Torrance Cultural
Arts Center. Entertainment by comedian
