Prez Mike recognized Kiwanis that worker the election polls – Jan, Carol, Cathy and Dick, Bob, and Mickey, and members that voted.  The only none voter was Uncle Willy,

 

 

 

Rick presented the club with $855.00 of tip money from the Memorial Day beer garden

                                         

 

Pat made a report on the Brotherhood luncheon, A.C. Gram’s speech, and brought back a picture of the Lakers Girls.

Guest Speaker

Ken Hartley, Founder & Coordinator of the Hermosa Beach

Emergency Operation and Training Center

The center is in process of being set up in the Community Center.  When it is finished, its mission is to provide Hermosa Beach with a facility the will incorporate the HBARA (Amateur Radio Association), Neighborhood Watch, critical partners the representing police and fire departments as well as all other city departments, to effectively conduct essential training, response and recovery operations for any hazard or threat that may impact the people and property of the City of Hermosa Beach.

 

Prez Mike, assisted by Rick K presented Ken with a $2500 check for HB Kiwanis for the facility.
