                                                                                                                                           Earl presented Dave Buckland with a $500 check from Kiwanis for the fundraiser for 1736.  Dave donated two tickets for the “The Vagina Monologues”. Linda won the bid.

January 31st,   Thursday, Reception for  “The Vagina  Monologues” fundraiser, at705@the Ardmore; $25.00; 5:30 P.M.

February 1st- 3rd Friday – Sunday; “The Vagina Monologues” fundraiser for 1736 at the

         Hermosa Theatre.

February 3rd Sunday, Super Bowl Party for Kiwanis family and friends; Kiwanis Hall, 3:35 p.m.  BYOB and food!

February 2nd , Saturday, 2nd Annual Chinese New Year sponsored by Redondo Beach Sister Cities, 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. $25.00 donation per person

February 9th Saturday 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m., Celebrate the Dedication of the Fitness Station on the Greenbelt; Pier Ave. & Valley/Ardmore.  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED—So far we have Mike and Cathy.  Contact Deborah;  plan to be at Gould and Valley at 9:30 a.m.

February 13th  Wednesday, Blood Drive  through the City of Hermosa Beach, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., in City Council Chambers; “1 Pint Can Help Save 3 Lives!”

February 23rd Saturday  Adrienne’s Search for A Children’s  Cancer Care sponsored by the Woman’s Club; Kiwanis Building 6:00 p.m. (310-940-9200)

Carole Ann Roberts (72) October 20, 1935-January 21, 2008,

Wife of Harold Roberts.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 2nd at 1 p.m. at White & Day Mortuary at 3215 N. Sepulveda Boulevard in Manhattan Beach, 310-792- 7575.. You are invited to attend a small reception immediately following the service at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to cancer research or to your favorite animal rescue organization
