February 9th- 24th “How to Success in Business Without Really Trying”, performed by Belasco Theatre Group; Hermosa Theatre

February 9th Saturday 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m., Celebrate the Dedication of the Fitness Station on the Greenbelt; Pier Ave. & Valley/Ardmore.  VOLUNTEERS NEEDED—So far we have Mike, Cathy and Amada.  Contact Deborah;  plan to be at Gould and Valley at 9:30 a.m.

February 13th  Wednesday, Blood Drive  through the City of Hermosa Beach, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., in City Council Chambers; “1 Pint Can Help Save 3 Lives!”

March 2nd L.A. Marathon; Amy announced runners/walkers need for to assist

child with cancer

March 7th Saturday, “Hearts of Hermosa” dinner dance sponsored by  The HB Education Foundation; Sangria; 5:45 p.m. – midnight; $125.00 per person

March 8th Saturday Adrienne’s Search for A Children’s Cancer Care sponsored by the Woman’s Club; Kiwanis Building 6:00 p.m. $30.00 per person  (310-940-9200)

Yvonne  HAPPY Won the pool even though not a football fan; (cell ring cost her $1.00; SAD Paul is still out of town

Amada  SAD for all the bad publicity for Mr. D

Richard  SAD Missed the super bowl  party- was in Big Bear helping disabled kids ski

Amy   SAD was in a Car accident; HAPPY has to ride the metro, which is great 

Pat       HAPPY Key club kids worked both Saturday and Sunday for the Super Bowl race

Jan       HAPPY Shanti Belasco presenting: HAPPY FOR all the Kiwanis that worked the elections

Dallas   HAPPY  Rick K.  site up TV for the Super Bowl;  HAPPY Rolling Hills Kiwanian came Sunday; HAPPY New York won

Carey    SAD His 45-year brother-in-law just died in front of his children

Cathy   SAD people were not listening about the donations for the Easter Seals cards and did not put $$$ in the envelope; HAPPY Builders Club did not participate in the Super Bowl run; SAD had food poisoning and missed the Super Bowl party

GUEST SPEAKER   Shanti Belasco from the Belasco Theatre

 

The Belasco Theatre is a non-profit youth performing arts group in the South Bay.  This season show is “How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying!”,  starts this Friday, February 8, 2008 and runs until February  24th .  Check the web page: Belasco.org
