Terry called meeting # 3,998 to order. WITHOUT A BELL.  Welcome to America !! Our Builders’= ; Club visitors – Julia, Kirsten, and Andrew BICHLMEIER   lead the song AND the  pledge and did a great job.  Earl Feys  gave the invocation .  Doris serenaded us on the piano, Colleen confessed ( or was tabbed) for HAPPY birthday !!!  Melinda Curtis, = guest of Rick Koenig, Maggie Moore, and Kip Bobko .

 

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS/ UPCOMING EVENTS:

 

11/3        =   Board Meeting – 6:30 Dinner/7:00Meeting – Catered by= Len and Carla

11/8   =          Hermosa Valley Sc= hool open House- Tuesday 9AM-11:30PM  multipurpose room

11/13        Hurricane Relief – by the New Redondo Beach Club THAT WE SPONSORED- at Delzano’s – Noon – 8:00PM – Appetizer= s, bands, prizes - $25 donation – take a group / luch, bruch, or dinner = ( or all three) and support or newest DIV 19 club.

11/19         CHRISTMAS TREE LOT SET-UP  10:00am  SATURDAY       TILL ???

11/23         Wednesday meeting at TREE LOT- Catered lunch – Bless the Trees= by Rev Paul Lawson

11/25-12/24 SELL CHRISTMAS TREES – TILL THE= Y ARE GONE !!!!  SIGN UP EARLY AND OFTEN 

12/14         Our annual Easter Seal Christmas Party – make plans to be ther= e.

12/28         We will be dark this Wednesday ( No Meeting). There will be “roundtable” at the Underground instead – dutch treat

Cathy -  school board meetings will on chann= el 45 – maybe live, but also taped. Look for shcedule on #45. possibly 27th , 1st, 3rd, 7th – possilby at 5:00PM= .

Rick K.- Friend Melinda is having an open hou= se – and he invited all of us !!!??? – 11/5 Sat. 6:00PM   638 8th St HB = 211; Chris Miller will be there selling and signing her new book !!!

Pat L. – Pete Tucker – gets crown= ed as Mayor – 11/8 Council chambers – THEN free food receptionj at FatFaceFennersFishSchack to follow- hopefully it will be a short Council meeting!!!!

 

Prez. Terry, with the help of Dr. Barr, presented= JOE DIAZ received a 25 year memebership certificate and pin.

 

Prez. Terry distributed a NEW Board Meeting Cater= er List – it will be attached if I get from you know who. (HINT) Who lost the bell??  Speaking of the be= ll – Prez. Terry gave us an accounting of her  travels and exploits in search of = the bell – I will attach a copy if I get one.

PROGRAM:

Pat Love introduced Gene Shook, owner of the newly r= ebuilt Hermosa Pavilion.  Gene bought= the white elephant in March of 1996. 

In the remodel they remove over  2 ½ million pounds of debri= s, then re-built it BIGGER , and BETTER. 24 Hour Fitness is now open, also some offices, Kelly’s coffe and chocolate, and Kid’s Cabaret. Glen I= vy Spa is spending  $4 million on= their space and will be open by January. There is 4000 square feet of restaurant space that is up for grabs. The projest was delayed by RAIN last winter and upgrades. Parking $2/hour. Terry walks for the exercise and so her car isn’t broken into. If you read any of this newsletter, email me at bob@ipm2.com , I’m curious if anyone= looks at it. There were questions, but either the questions or the answers  weren’t worth repeating.

 

We had a good turn out. We had fun. If you werenR= 17;t there, we had fun and gossiped about you – so show up next week. Seriously, the more you put in, the more you get out.  That’s a quote form the guy running brush thru the chipper on the green belt.

 

 

RAFFLE/ FINK

Raffle - #6509 was the winner and the winner was Bud= who drews the 7 of clubs and walked away with $7 !!!!

All Board meeting start at 7:00pm. Please have the meals at the Hall by 6:00pm.= We do not expect anything outrageous; just do what ever you can manage. We will take a head count before the meeting and let you all know the number of peo= ple attending that night. Thank- you!!!!
