DONATE USED INK CARTRIDGES. Bring your used printer and copier ink cartridges to the board room.  Donations will assist youth project.

PROGRAM:  Greg introduced speaker Carole Shakely from Project Touch.  Project Touch is dedicated to serving "at risk" youths -- it gives them a place to come to be heard, helped and to be safe.  About 25 kids gather each Wednesday evening for socializing, games, & counseling.  Project Touch also runs programs at schools in the area, they run a step-parenting program, they take kids to a Wilderness Camp, they have a teen mom program and they take kids on field trips (most recently to a Laker game).  They help the kids by giving them the tools they need to make good decisions in life.  Kiwanis has been a major supporter since its inception 27 years ago.  Their main fundraiser is the Sand & Strand Run at the Hermosa Pier (coming up 2/29).
