PROGRAM: Lt. Gov. Tony Molino, Past President of our club, now a member of the Torrance Club and currently Lt. Gov. of Division 19 was our speaker today. He joined our club 24 years ago after buying insurance from Cary. Cary gave him the Kiwanis pep talk, but it took Jim Fucile to finally get him to join the club. He said that Cary was President shortly after Tony joined and hardly ever had his bell (they just kept stealing it). So when Tony was President he handcuffed it to himself and no one stole it, but they took his gavel instead. Joe was President right after Tony and he was nervous about public speaking so he went to Toastmasters. We haven't been able to get him to stop speaking since. Back in those days Whit had an exemplary record as a pilot both in the military and for Continental. Then he retired, bought a motor home and had a zillion accidents. Tony also participated in the sky divers at the Loreto picnic caper that wasn't quite by the book. He also gave a run down on the LEAP forward program for the District. The frog is the mascot this year. |
